my travelogue: Wängl Tängl

This was the 10th anniversary of the Wängl Tängl taking place in Mayrhofen, Austria. It's a one week event with a team snowboard and skate contest, an art exhibition and a bunch of Dj's and bands playing. I claim most fun contest! The format is pretty cool too. Your crew out of three riders can do as many runs as you want. You just have to make sure that at the end of the session you have at least one judged run. The team captain get's three cards which he can pull whenever the team feels like it, best one counts. After all these other contests this event was such a treat for me We even entered the prequals with a team manager's team. Didn't end up making it onto the next round. I say it was bad judging! As you can see on the photo the park was awesome and the weather was even better. Slushy snow, sun, friend, bbq up on the hill, good music, great riding and a few beers..no complains at all!
