Shitty waves but a lot of fun times!

It's been already a month since I got back from our annual trip to Portugal. This year the crew was a bit bigger which I was worried about at first because the more people is more opinions which usually means twice the amount of time for decisions but it was yet again another super fun trip with a lot of laughter and great activities! I think it was the sixth time we went there now but it just doesn't get old. Good life and great times all the way!

I took the pyjama jet en route to Lisbon so I could make it for a surf session the same day. It turned out to be the best day out of six!
Flo, Reen and Stefan had to fit all this somehow in the smallest car in the world!
..and they really managed to get it done!
That was our nice little crib!
We had all kind of stuff to kill time with, which included surfboards, skateboards, all kinds of ball games and icehockey sticks!
This is the annual photo.
Looks nice doesn't it.

Maggi was fighting the shore break.

Hangout spot number one, FOZ.
We had a lot of very romantic dinners.
No bullshitting around about with the BBQ. That's what's up!
Fips, Maggi and Christian were coordinating.
while He-Man, Reen and Stü took care of the goods!
Like I already said, no fucking around here..

...keeping it classy in every way!

Maggi reinventing dessert!
After such a big meal Stype needs to rest.
The skatepark at Ericeira is so much fun. The obstacles have the perfect weekend skaters size! Acs stepping it up here.
Maggi was definitely feeling the scary deep end of the bowl.
I was playing in the kids end.

The waves were either too small or in this case way too big for us so we decided to check out the Rip Curl Pro in Peniche the next day.
That's what I call a heavy beach break!
No big deal for Kelly.
Thanks for the good times again crew!

Bay Sixty6

I went to London for the re-opening of the all new Nike Bay Sixty6 skatepark. That park has been around for a while but I had not been there before. Nike rebuild everything and I have to say it turned out really sick, super fun to skate! A lot of the team riders came for the opening, just to name a few: Sean Malto, Justin Brock, Theotis Beasley, Wieger Van Wageningen, Fernando Bramsmark, Tim Zom,.. I've always been a big fan of skateboarding so I was hyped to see those guys skate live and destroy that place!

Summer of fun and happiness!

So this was my last days in France. Wow, what a great summer! As most of you already heard I switched from Burton to Nike some while ago. It was definitely a tough decision but after being for such a long time with Burton as a rider and then working for the brand it was time for a change. That was the main reason I ended up hanging in the south of France for almost two months with Jon, who's position I took over as Nike SB TM for Europe, while he's off to Portland to be the boss. It was a great mix of a bit of work and a lot of good life. I met a bunch of cool people, started to play golf and just enjoyed european summer, loved it!

Thanks for the good times to Jon, Greg, Doris, Steve, Sage, Quirin, Gary, Florent, Lene, Ilmo, Lina, Jimmy, Cheryl, Stine, Will and Molly!

 Our favorite spot this summer
Greg's deck, probably the best spot to watch Premiere League Soccer!
 The set up.
Jon is a big Swansea fan.
 ..not bad at all
Cheryl the boss of Biarritz.
Jon specialty is actually breaking drivers but he's pretty good at putting too.
On the way to my first PAR!
Goodbye dinner for Jon's last days in Europe before he moved to the US.
